Creations.....

So I started and finished a tea length skirt in about a week.  I could have done it faster if I didn't have to work in between. HA!   I am happy with the result and just need to put a few embellishments on it.  Then it will be up for sale. 

Tried to go to Hobby Lobby this weekend but the store is closed on Sundays.  I will make another attempt this weekend.  It will be a nice four day weekend for me.......four days to work on my crafting!  I'm excited!

lazy

I have been lazy in my blogging!  Went to an antique festival this weekend and picked up some nice vintage crochet pattern books for 1950 style baby clothes and women's hats.  I also got a really good deal on a huge bag of never used vintage buttons.  I'm really excited in starting some new projects with these. 

I finally finished all of the pieces for my sun and clouds baby mobile......now just to put it all together.  I've also started an extended single crochet skirt that I am planning to sell.  Hopefully some more progress will be made by this weekend!

Professional Crafter?

So, I wish that I could just craft for a living.  I think it would be far less stressful than any 9 to 5 job.  I'd be able to sit and create all day long.  Who's with me??????

Progress......

So, I have made progress with the apple holders, yet one is slightly larger than the other......WHY!!!!!!  So I need to make another and see which it matches closer to.  

As any ADD crafter, I must start at least another project while already working on (and not done with) the first project.  I am making a cute pair of fingerless gloves to try to sell on my site.


There is a yarn sale at Ollies this weekend so I want to get a few skeins to add to my collection.  I'd like to crochet this really cute skirt to add to my collection.  


I'll try to get some pictures up this weekend.  Just too darned tired right now!

Owl Takeoff!

So I managed to get one owl apple holder almost completed last  night.  A nice, easy to read pattern with a cute outcome.  I'll work on it some more on my lunch break today.  They should be completed by this weekend then I will post a pic.  Also, the pattern comes with a cute owl tote bag for kids to take to school.  I think I just may make a set to sell on my site.

So here it goes......

So, since I'm such a craft addict and yarn hoarder I've decided to blog about it.  I was taught to crochet at 11 by my gram.  I crocheted for about a year before stopping.  I recently picked it up again about 5 years ago.  I needed a creative outlet and crochet was it for me!   I am a full time veterinarian and crochet is my release, my stress relief, my addiction!!!!

My next dilemma.......what project to work on next!  I have 8 million patterns, a gajillion pounds of yarn and I simply don't know what to do!!!

I was thinking of making these really cute apple holders for one of my employee's twin boys.  The pattern is an owl that holds an apple for your lunch.  So I guess I have decided.  A set of owl apple holders it shall be.  I will post progress as soon as I get started.
